Granite Real Estate Tax Consultants only offer our property tax reduction services to homeowners who we believe are over-assessed. We work on a contingency basis; if your assessment is not reduced, then you owe us nothing.

Since 1984, we have successfully helped hundreds of homeowners to lower their assessments and save on their property taxes. Managing Director David Ruzow is a certified real estate appraiser and a licensed real estate broker; he has been valuing real estate for more than 30 years. His credentials and reputation give your case the credible evidence you need to have a successful challenge to your assessment.

How Does It Work?

We will prepare an appeal and follow all of the necessary steps to get you the reduction you deserve at no charge. Our fee of 50% of the first year’s tax savings is payable after you are notified that your assessment has been lowered.

Unless you have a recent appraisal that can be used to submit as proof of value, we may recommend that you have an appraisal of your home prepared by a certified appraiser. If you choose to use an appraiser we recommend, the typical appraisal fee will range from $350-$750 unless specified in advance and in writing. The cost of this appraisal would be paid to the appraiser at the time of inspection and would be your only out-of-pocket expense.

If your assessment is reduced this year, you will save on your taxes every year.

Your municipality will only accept your grievance application once per year, so the time is now. Check the Grievance Day in your community so you don’t miss the opportunity to reduce your property taxes.

If you miss your deadline, you will be forced to overpay for another year.
